Tue., Dec. 2 Added to our page about motorcycle plates an image taken by Johnny Miles today of a plate with DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA instead of WASHINGTON, D.C.; edited labels of 1955 through 1972 motorcycle plates to provide additional information about their period of use; added data to the table near the bottom of our 2000 baseplate page as to when the switch from WASHINGTON, D.C. to DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA became evident on plates of various types.

Fri., Aug. 1, 2014 Modified the table of 1974 and later baseplates on our page about bus plates to reflect the recent change in the presentation of the city name, with registration number cutoff data provided by Brad Gallagher.
   
Wed., Jul. 30, 2014 Added to our main page about the current TAXATION baseplate a table that provides the earliest observation date of plates of various types with DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA instead of WASHINGTON, D.C., populated with data provided by Brad Gallagher and Andrew Pang; altered registration number cutoff data in the table near the top of our page about rental car plates in light of data recently received about the newest plate style.
   
Sun., Apr. 13, 2014 Added to our page about organizational plates an image of the first VFW plate observed; also seen and photographed for the first time is an example of apportioned plates with DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA instead of WASHINGTON, DC. These fine photos from the streets of DC were taken and contributed by Brad Gallagher.
